How Snuggle Tales Began
Long before Snuggle Tales was a brand, it was a bedtime ritual.
Both my husband and I grew up with the magic of nightly stories. Our moms (and Nanas) would sit beside us, sometimes at the edge of the bed, sometimes curled up right next to us, and read until we drifted off. Often, they’d fall asleep too. But those were the moments that stuck. The quiet connection. The warmth. The feeling of being completely seen and safe.
Now, as an aunt, an uncle, and parents-by-heart to many, we’ve watched our nieces and nephews light up during storytime. And we realized something: every child deserves to feel loved, engaged, and connected with no screens in sight.
That’s why we created Snuggle Tales. To help families everywhere turn simple stories into lifelong memories. Delivering carefully curated books that spark imagination and foster a lifelong love of reading and memories.

Courtney Slayden
Co-Founder
Former para-educator and daycare specialist turned full-time story champion. Courtney has worked with children from preschool through high school and reads over 150 books a year. She’s made it her life’s mission to share the gift of reading with every child she can.
Kevin Slayden
Co-Founder
A lifelong lover of bedtime stories and now the husband of Courtney, Kevin grew up in a home where books were part of the nightly routine. Those cozy story moments remain some of his most cherished memories, and today he is helping families everywhere create their own.
